• Good shop. Good gloves.

  I have no Idea what the guys issue is below! Probably a rival company.. maybe peaks? Any way Cusromer service skills dont apply here as its customer service, I would have thought in 25 years he would have learnt to spell it, though in which ive only had fantastic service from these guys. I personaly have shopped at Hollywoods on several occasions for loads of parties and nights out, including the said white gloves I got for a Mario Costume and they lasted the night out and have used them since, and a friend also as Micky Mouse with no complaints? I highly recomend Hollywoods for any fancy dress needs. Saying that had some great fireworks from there too.

  I recently went to hollywoods and was pleased with the helpful service i received, i would recomend using this place for all my fancydress needs, they have a huge range of stuff and if not in stock they got it in for me the next week, they also had a whole room of sale items.

• Poor rude unhelpful service

  Just bought an item that was not fit for purpose - when I asked for a refund 15 mins after buying it they refused and were generally very unhelpful. All over a £2 pair of white gloves. I had stated they were for a mime and so when I purchased that was my understanding that they would at least fit an average pair of hands suitable for a mime. They did not nor did they fit 2 of my work colleagues who also tried them on and said they were useless. You couldnt even bend your hands in them comfortably. I could not believe the rude refusal just to return my money when it was clear they were not what I wanted and they could easily pop back in their bag and resell at no loss to them - to some other poor suspecting individual!! A very poor service indeed and very inflexible staff. I asked for the manager and beleive it or not the unhelpful lady behind the counter was the manager... Avoid this company and go somewhere where you are at least treated with some courtesy As a professional individual who has over 25 years cusromer service and sales experience for much larger establisments than this fancy dress shop I was still amazed how they really did not care at all about the customer and were happy to have bad publicity than give me my £2 back!!! Do not shop at Hollywoods would be my advice - use Peaks
