$70,000 Sculpture

We are writing this to you after reading in the daily newspaper of the action Bournemouth Council have taken - possibly too late but all the same we felt we needed to voice our conerns. As Bournemouth Residents we are totally against this project, the money should have been used to reduce the 'Rates' in this area which are terrible. Before monies are spent Residents should be aware of what is going on and have an input. Councils should NOT be allowed to spend this kind of money on a sculpture but on helping local residents, we are living in an area where the roads are falling apart and are in need of repair, surley this should be actioned before artwork.
