Poor workmanship

I took my Mondeo LXTD to this garage for a routine cam belt change. It went in running perfectly but when I collected it I was told that there was a problem starting the engine and a problem keeping it running when it did start. I had to leave it with them but they did nothing, so I was forced to get it home where it was discovered that the timing was not correct for both the injector pump and camshaft. After this was rectified the engine started instantly and ran perfectly again. I went to see who I assume is the manager and after a discussion, which proved to me that they didn't really have the knowledge to do this job he apologised most emphatically but didn't offer to reimburse me with at least part of the bill, which I had paid before finding out the problem. I am not saying that this garage is useless but if you have a Mondeo that needs a cam belt change I would advise you to think again before letting them have the job.
